The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, has extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Udu Kingdom, expressing renewed hope and assuring the people of sustained, development-driven leadership in 2026.
In his New Year Message of Hope released on Thursday, January 1, 2026, the Udu Council Boss appreciated the unflinching support and cooperation of Udu sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora throughout the past year, describing their encouragement as the driving spirit behind the council’s efforts to reposition Udu Kingdom for growth and collective prosperity.
The Udu Chairman noted that 2025 came with lessons, challenges and significant progress, stressing that the achievements recorded so far were made possible by the unity, resilience and shared aspirations of the people. According to him, “development is a collective responsibility that demands partnership, dedication and faith in a common future.”
Oyibode reaffirmed that his administration in 2026 will place strong emphasis on grassroots development, improved service delivery, empowerment of youths and women, as well as deepening peace and security across all Udu communities. He also promised to prioritise the safety, security and protection of lives and property of all Udu people, noting that no meaningful development cannot thrive without a peaceful coexistence.
“Our focus is clear. We will continue to strengthen the foundations already laid, ensuring visible improvements in infrastructure, social welfare and economic opportunities. Hope is not just optimism it is an active commitment to building the future we desire. When Udu speaks with one voice and walks with one purpose, nothing can hinder our progress,” he stated.
He called on the good people of Udu to sustain the spirit of unity and collaboration, urging every household to remain hopeful, productive and committed to the advancement of Udu Kingdom.
Oyibode prayed for a prosperous year for all Udu indigenes at home and in the diaspora, expressing confidence that the coming months would witness greater harmony, increased development and renewed opportunities for individuals and all Udu communities.
